Creating a wireless network is a breeze with the Netgear WGR614. You can connect multiple computers to the internet at the same time, without the need to physical cables. You can also create a home or office network by connecting wireless devices together via the Netgear WGR614 wireless router.
The WGR614 is incredibly easy to set up. It comes with an installation CD that will provide a step by step setup guide. It will find your optimal internet connection automatically. When you install the WGR614, it will automatically find and install the latest firmware.
The majority of the UK has ADSL broadband. The Netgear WGR614 is suitable for ADSL broadband. You can plug it into your ADSL broadband modem.
If you have cable broadband (for example, Virgin Media), you can use the Netgear WGR614. You can plug the Netgear WGR614 wireless router into your cable modem. Your cable broadband provider normally provides the cable modem.
A firewall is built into the WGR614 to help prevent unauthorised access to your wireless network. The firewall includes Stateful packet inspection (SPI) and
DoS attack protection. It also includes advanced encryption technology such as WEP encryption, WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK.
